In February 2012, the country’s auto production was 1,606,651, an increase of 23.79% compared with the previous period and an increase of 28.48% year-on-year. Sales of 1,056,061 vehicles were up 12.75% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 24.51%. I. Vehicle Diesel Engines In February 2012, the production and sales of diesel engines in China completed 342,977 sets and 366,010 sets respectively. From January to February in 2012, a total of 581,025 sets and 567,581 sets were completed, a cumulative decrease of 17.13% and 22.06% over the previous year.
