How to use jack properly

Jacks are the most commonly used repair tools. In use, we must pay attention to safety, but also pay attention to how to use.

First of all, when the vehicle is jacked up, the engine cannot be started because the vibration of the engine or the rotation of the wheels will cause the vehicle to slide from the jack and cause danger.

Second, in order to ensure safety, cars of various models generally have fixed positions when using jacks. They cannot be used to support the safety bars, beams, and other parts.

Third, maintenance personnel must not work under unsupported vehicles. When replacing wheels, passengers cannot stay in the vehicle because their movement may cause the vehicle to slip off the jack.

Fourth, if there are no jacks when changing tires, different emergency measures can be taken depending on the location of the tires.

Fifth, when dismantling the outer wheel of a double wheel, the inner wheel of the vehicle can be stopped on a wooden block or stone with a proper height so that the outer wheel can be suspended and replaced. Pay attention to tighten the hand brake and plug the front wheel.

Sixth, when replacing the front tire or the rear inner tire, secure the front axle and the rear axle of the vehicle with stones or bricks, and dig the pit under the tire to be removed so that the tire can be floated and replaced.
