Recently, Becker Marine System hosted several high-performance rudder orders at the Hamburg International Maritime Exhibition.
Hyundai Heavy Industries has ordered Becker's high-performance rudders and solutions, including a Becker twisted rudder equipped with a rudder ball and a Becker Mewis tube. The twisted rudder signed with Hyundai Heavy Industries will be supplied to nine 14000 TEU container ships.
It is reported that the order was taken after the company received the twisted rudder of Becker's rudder ball with 10 2800TEU container ships for the Imabari shipbuilding in Japan. Together with the new era of shipbuilding, 14 Suez largest tankers ordered Becker Marine Systems' Mewis tube twisted rudder.
According to reports, to date, the ship with the Becker Marine System's Mewis tube twisted rudder has reduced the global carbon dioxide emissions by about 2.8 million tons.
