Beijing-Tibet high-speed traffic jams 100 kilometers from Chelong to Inner Mongolia

Today, the Beijing-Tibet Highway's large traffic jam into Beijing has entered the eighth day. Vehicles have been blocked from Inner Mongolia to Inner Mongolia, and the vehicle is up to 100 kilometers long.

Due to the maintenance of roads and bridges in Yanqing, Beijing, and the limited flow of vehicles in Hebei, the Beijing-Tibet Highway has been congested for several consecutive days in the direction of Inner Mongolia and Hebei. It is reported that there are currently more than 1,000 vehicles stranded in the Zhangjiakou section of Hebei and 110,207 national roads.

In order to ease the road congestion situation, Zhangjiakou City has established a good driving route for large vehicles from Inner Mongolia and Shanxi through Zhangjiakou, according to the "Road Transport Traffic Jamming and Smoothness Work Program." The traffic police has also been on the intersection of various highways for two days and persuaded large truck drivers to divert their routes. At present, traffic policemen in Hebei are constantly unblocking traffic jams.

The congestion of the Beijing-Tibet Expressway has a long history. Since the second half of 2009, the traffic volume of coal vehicles in Inner Mongolia has grown rapidly, and the high single-day traffic volume has exceeded 80,000 vehicles, far exceeding the design flow.
