Yuchai's Sales Increase Double Highest in March

According to the latest production and sales news of China Automobile Industry Association, in March 2017, the domestic market for automotive diesel engines sold 372,904 units, a year-on-year increase of 22.01%, and the growth rate narrowed from the previous month (+94.34%), an increase of 30.09% from the previous month. The vehicle diesel engine market continued to perform well in March. This good trend started from the fourth quarter of 2016. Its main driving force stems from the hot sales of new cars brought about by the super heavy truck market in the domestic heavy truck market. (In the first three months of this year, the sales of heavy trucks exceeded 80,000 units. In March, sales exceeded 110,000 units. Year-on-year increase of 53.36%).

In March 2017, the top ten companies in the automotive diesel engine market sold a total of 322,763 units with a total share of 86.55%. The best performing automotive diesel engine companies in the market were Guangxi Yuchai and China National Heavy Duty Truck. The two companies' YoY growth rate reached 98.66% and 85.48% respectively. Yuchai sold 63,289 units, a year-on-year increase of 98.66%. The diesel engine market had the highest sales in March and the highest year-on-year growth. The two companies of Weichai and Dongfeng Motor also performed well, with an increase of more than 30%.

Judging from the accumulated sales volume, the market for automotive diesel engines in January-March 2017 was booming with a cumulative increase of 39.38%. The top ten companies in sales were high praises and triumphs. The cumulative growth of Yuchai and CNHTC exceeded 100%, and the cumulative increase of Weichai reached 81.24%. The only cumulative increase was single-digit Jianghuai and Anhui Quanchai. The two companies also increased by 8.71% and 3.96% respectively.
