It is reported that the Beijing Automobile Group, which is under construction, is part of the Beijing Automotive Group and is mainly responsible for the management and integration of all self-owned branded vehicle businesses outside Beijing Auto's shares.

Zhang Xin joined Beiqi Group in August 2008 and has served successively as deputy general manager of the group and vice president of Beiqi. In May 2011, Zhang Xin joined BAIC from BAIC. However, due to the differences in its management philosophy with Chuanqi’s senior management team, Zhang Xin’s Sichuan Steam business only lasted for less than a year. 2012 In February, Zhang Xin returned to Beiqi. It is reported that after the reunification, Zhang Xin was appointed by Chairman Xu Heyi as the principal person in charge of the Beiqi General Aviation Business Unit.

As a well-known professional manager in the automotive industry, far from the automobile industry, it is obviously not able to fully realize its full capabilities. The preparation of the BAIC Automotive Business Unit provides Zhang Xin with a platform to showcase its own ability to manage its own brand.

The reorganization of the establishment of the Automotive Business Unit and its core self-owned brand business unit is seen as a key step in the overall listing of BAIC Group. The Group’s disputed capital market plan that has been entrenched for nearly a decade has reached its sprint stage. Xu Heyi disclosed in an interview that BAIC will complete the conditions for IPO operation by the end of 2013 at the latest. According to another Beiqi source, BAIC is expected to land in Hong Kong's H-share market in early 2014.

In order to ensure that the listed entity, BAIC, delivers a “pretty” performance report, it is particularly important to re-evaluate its assets. It is reported that the Beijing Automotive Group's business has included Beijing Hyundai, Beijing Automotive Research Institute, Beijing Automotive New Energy Corporation, Beijing Automotive Powertrain Corporation, Beijing Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., and Beijing Automotive Investment Co., Ltd. In order to guarantee the good performance of Beiqi Co., Ltd., which is the listed entity, in May this year, Beiqi Co., Ltd. transferred its 51% stake in BAIC to BAIC Group. It is expected that BAIC will relocate its production base in Shunyi, Beijing to BAIC Group in October. Located at the production base in Hebei Huangpi, Shunyi Base will be sold to Beijing Auto.

In addition, the ground-breaking Beiqi off-road vehicle in June this year is also a core business of the vehicle division. It is reported that the total investment of Beiqi off-road vehicle base is as high as 3.19 billion yuan, and the planned production capacity is 200,000. The company will mainly produce Warrior military vehicles, B40V, B70V, B80V and other products.

According to the Beijing Automotive Group’s plans, Beiqi Yinxiang, Beiqi Foton, Beijing Automotive Guangzhou Branch and the just-founded Beiqi off-road vehicle and Beiqi Automobile Co., Ltd., which has been separated from Beiqi Co., Ltd., will be incorporated into the vehicle division, which will become a subsidiary of BAIC and BAIC. Equally important in another independent business segment, Zhang Xin was appointed as the head of the department and also indicated that this “professional” person who had been out of town still received absolute confidence from BAIC Group. This is not the same difficult situation as in Sichuan Automobile. The level of power that Zhang Xin can bring to the BAIC Automotive Business Unit will be high. We will wait and see.
