Zhengji River Bridge Construction Project Advances Orderly

Xuzhou on August 18th, despite the fierce sun and unbearable heat, could not stop the enthusiasm of dozens of Tongshan workers on the construction site of the Zhengji River Bridge. At the construction site of the bridge, first-line workers are working at a temperature of 37 degrees. They are working intensively and loud noises are heard everywhere on the construction site. A busy site is under heavy piling. Several workers on the river are setting up work platforms. Several workers are also tying steel cages with their hands and feet... To accelerate the progress of the project, the Tongshan Transportation Bureau is accelerating the construction of the Zhengji River Bridge in accordance with the decision-making arrangements of the district committee and the district government.

As a major construction project of the “Three Major” Weishan Lake Highway Project in Xuzhou, the Zhengji River Bridge Construction Project is located at West Lake K9+175 on Weishan Lake. The total length of the bridge is 122.23 meters. The whole bridge is divided into 3 joints. The bridge span is 118 meters. The bridge main bridge upper structure uses 1-30 meters T-beam. The main bridge building height is 2.0 meters. The superstructure of the approach bridge adopts 20m and 16m prestressed hollow slabs. The lower structure uses columnar piers and drilled cast-in-place pile foundations. The design load is Class I highway, and the width is 8 meters. The total cost is over RMB 5 million.

The project started construction on July 15 and is currently in the foundation stage of column piles. It is expected to be completed by January 15, 2014. With the completion of the project, the bridge will be integrated with Weishan Lake highway project to jointly promote the development of the lakeside city of Xuzhou and accelerate the economic development of the villages and towns along the Weishan Lake around the lake.
