After some discussion, her husband Cao went to a temple in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province to become a monk.

The connection between the husband and the wife has gradually diminished. However, Cao has not forgotten to send living expenses to his family on a regular basis. Afterwards, her husband Cao also returned home several times. At the end of 2011, her husband, Cao, returned home again. After the two couples reunited for the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon, Cao still said that he wanted to divorce because he wanted to practice the whole heart. This idea was strongly opposed by his wife, Sang Mou. The faithful Cao finally sued Rudong County People's Court to appeal for divorce.

After the Rudong County People's Court accepted the case, in consideration of the particularity of the case, the relatives of the parties and local village committees were invited to mediate the case together. The judge learned through the tune that even though Cao had been out of the country for many years, he still had difficulty understanding the wife Sang. His reasons for divorce for religious and spiritual practice are understandable, but relatives have also proposed that "wine and meat pass through the intestines and Buddha water flows through the heart." Existing marriages do not affect Cao's practice. In the end, under the efforts of all parties, Cao withdrew his lawsuit.
