The optimum slurry concentration during flotation is determined by the ore properties and flotation conditions. The general rule is:

( 1 ) The mineral with large flotation density uses a thicker slurry, while the mineral with a small flotation density uses a thinner slurry;

( 2 ) Flotation of coarse-grained materials with thicker slurry, flotation of fine-grained and muddy materials with thinner ore.

( 3 ) The coarse selection and sweeping use of richer pulp can reduce the consumption of chemicals and the number of flotation machines, while the selection uses thinner pulp to obtain higher quality Taige concentrate.

When the ore is coarsely selected, the concentration of the slurry is 25 % to 35 %, and the flotation fine particles and the ore with high mud content are 10 % to 20 %.

For the preheater, there are mainly two types, cyclone preheater, Vertical Preheater, the previous preheater is mainly used for cement clinker production process and the later is mainly used for quicklime production process, it`s used for heat exchange between the materials and the waste gas from the Rotary Kiln or Vertical Shaft Kiln, After absorbing the heat from the kiln gas, usually the temperature of the material can be 700-900 â„ƒ, and some can be decomposed before entering the rotary kiln, the capacity can be increased about 30% with the preheater, and heat efficiency can be increased 40%.
